Nuttin' Like the smell of base housing.

As you can guess from the title, Adam and I finally got into base housing. Hooray no more hotels!! The house is nothing to spectacular, but its cozy enough for us and the kitties, and the baby (come April). Our new humble abode is one story, which I love I got tired of the stairs. Three bedroom two bathrooms.  Like any normal house it does have the kitchen, living room laundry room ( well in this case the washer and dryer are put into a little closed area in the kitchen.) We have a front room with a sliding glass back door. Which for now, until  we figure out what to  put in it, will be the cats "sunning room"
We have a nice little back yard as well. It has a rather large slab of concrete that will be perfect for when we get a nice patio set. There are three palm trees on our lawn. One in back and two out front. The neighbors here all seem very friendly, but still keep to themselves.
The base itself is really nice. Lots of greenery to look at when you are driving. Adam and I found our way to the beach yesterday, it was really empty. Partly due to the fact that the winds were strong which made the water unable to swim in. We had a nice walk along the beach. When we are all settled in over here Adam and I will have to have adventures and find some more beaches. I want to collect shells from here, but people are not allowed to take shells from the beaches that the Air Force or Navy owns. ( if everyone took shells there would be none left) So we have to find a public beach and I'll collect them to my hearts content! :]
Contrary to what people have told us, there are birds here on the island. They aren't the tropical birds one would think of when thinking of a warm island setting. We have the doves and little sparrows you see in the states, along with seagulls and some type of bird with a long skinny beak. (It does not look like a humming bird) If I can snap a photo of it I will. There are deer here as well, Adam told me that they bark. He heard them while he was doing stuff with his job. I recently saw a wild pig here. It looked like Pumba off of the Lion King. He was cute. Also we have the geckos and HUGE spiders and other creepy bugs. Other than that, that is pretty much all the wildlife that Adam and myself have seen.
Nothing to exciting has happened since my last post on here. I'm sure in the coming month one of us will be posting about new exciting things.  Until our next post!

I will leave you all with a picture from Guam.
